What ESS Social is
At ESS we believe sport can transform lives. But we also know that talent, effort and ambition are not always enough. There are young athletes with the ability to go a long way who, because of their circumstances, do not have access to the same opportunities as others.
ESS Social exists to change that. It is ESS's social impact arm, created to connect talented athletes with companies and foundations that want to make a real difference through sport and education.
With Fundación Nemesio Díez
We work alongside Fundación Nemesio Díez to secure scholarships for our students. Three athletes have already been awarded one through this partnership.
Carla Guardeño
Karate
A medallist at the senior European Championship in the team event, with gold and bronze, and at the international Youth League. In Spain she has won 7 golds, 11 silvers and 12 bronzes, and 24 titles in the Madrid region.
Marcel Fonseca
Golf
One of the brightest prospects in Spanish amateur golf. He holds the course record at El Prat, reached the quarter-finals of The Amateur Championship and won the Mediterranean Golf Championship.
Iñaki Montes de la Torre
Tennis
One of Spanish tennis's established names. After a strong college career in the United States, he has broken into the ATP top 230 and won titles on the ITF circuit, including the M25 in Badalona.
