Academic programmes

The qualification is awarded by the academic institution, not by ESS. What ESS adds is that the institution treats the training and competition calendar as part of the course, rather than as an exception to be requested each time.

Two academic routes

The route is chosen by stage and by goal, not by preference. A player aiming for a university scholarship in the United States does not follow the same path as one staying in Europe.

School

Spanish national system, International Baccalaureate, British curriculum or American High School Diploma, with SAT preparation for those aiming at a university scholarship in the United States.

Real academic and sporting balance: rescheduled exams, justified travel and an ESS Tutor coordinating it all.

University

Spanish or American university: degrees and postgraduate courses at the partner universities in Madrid.

How it is made to work together

  • The class timetable is built around the sport's training load

  • Competition travel is formally justified and does not count as absence

  • Exams falling on competition days are rescheduled

  • ESS Tutor, with a termly report to the family

School and university are not the only options: there are also language courses, vocational training and other routes. Ask us about yours.

Accreditation and enrolment

The academic record from the country of origin is accredited before starting, and ESS handles the paperwork. It is one of the first things to set in motion, because administrative deadlines do not compress: a family arriving in September starts the process in spring.
